  • Difficulty breathing
  • Severe chest pain
  • Seizures
  • Extreme confusion
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Severe anxiety or panic
  • Very high temperature
  • Blue lips or fingers

What to Tell Emergency Services

  • What substances were taken
  • How much was taken
  • When they were taken
  • Any existing medical conditions
  • Current symptoms
  • Exact location

Be honest - medical staff are there to help, not judge

While Waiting for Help

  • Stay with the person - don't leave them alone
  • Keep them awake if possible
  • Move them to a quiet, safe space
  • If unconscious, put in recovery position
  • Loosen tight clothing
  • Keep them cool and give water if conscious
  • Collect any substance samples for medical staff
  • Have someone wait outside to guide emergency services
